April 14, 2011 - The National Multi Housing Council (NMHC) recognized Boston Capital, the Boston-based real estate investment and advisory firm founded by Jack Manning in 1974, as the largest owner of apartments in the country (click here for complete survey results). With more than 159,000 units across 49 states, the District of Columbia and two U.S. territories, this is the 20th consecutive year that Boston Capital has been in the top 10 of the NHMC 50 Largest Owners.

Boston Capital continues to demonstrate steady growth and the ability to attract investors. The company is currently closing Corporate Fund XXXIV, a $244 million Fund which will result in an additional 39 properties constituting 3,200 units in 18 states. Boston Capital will launch Corporate Fund XXXV, a $305 million Fund, this summer and will continue to close business with its proprietary fund relationships as well. Since January 1, 2010, Boston Capital has closed in excess of $678.6 million in tax credit funds focused on affordable multifamily apartment properties.
