Industry Advocacy
Boston Capital has a long standing commitment to the preservation of the Low Income Housing Tax Credit and similar housing programs. In 1993, Herb Collins and Jack Manning, along with a number of their colleagues in the industry, founded the Housing Advisory Group (HAG) to educate lawmakers in Washington, D.C. on the Low Income Housing Tax Credit program. Mr. Manning was also the founding President of the Affordable Housing Tax Credit Coalition (AHTCC), an organization of affordable housing practitioners dedicated to the preservation of housing programs. Through these programs and other efforts around the country, Boston Capital has dedicated time, energy and resources to the preservation, strengthening and long term sustainability of housing programs for moderate income earners, seniors and individuals with special needs around the country.
Boston Capital is also active in and supportive of the efforts of the National Multi Housing Council (NMHC), the National Council of State Housing Agencies (NCSHA), the National Association of Homebuilders-Housing Credit Group and a multitude of state and local housing organizations and coalitions.
