Thomas A. L. Pereira, Vice President, Boston Capital Finance LLC

Thomas A. L. Pereira

Mr. Pereira is the Fund Manager for the Boston Capital Affordable Housing Mortgage Fund. He is also responsible for portfolio structuring, deal pricing and arranging credit facilities for equity transactions.

Prior to joining Boston Capital in 2003, Mr. Pereira managed the underwriting group for two years at Deutsche Bank Berkshire Mortgage, one of the largest underwriters of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and mezzanine multifamily loans in the U.S. Previously, Mr. Pereira served as Vice President at MMA Financial (formerly Lend Lease) for four years where he structured and closed low-income multifamily tax credit investment partnerships. Mr. Pereira also worked at Berkshire Realty Co. for nine years in various roles which included structuring and managing its REIT’s credit facilities, arranging single asset financing and structuring work-outs.

Mr. Pereira received an MBA with a concentration in Public Non-Profit Management and a BS in Business from Boston University. He serves on the board of directors for the Real Estate Finance Association in Boston and is an instructor at Boston University.

William H. Fazzano, Vice President, Boston Capital Finance LLC

William H. Fazzano

Mr. Fazzano leads the origination efforts for Boston Capital's Affordable Housing Mortgage Fund. His responsibilities include underwriting, closing and servicing multifamily mortgages on properties for which Boston Capital provided equity via the LIHTC program. From 1996 to 1999, Mr. Fazzano served as an originator and underwriter for Boston Capital Mortgage Company (BCMC). During that time, BCMC originated and closed approximately $750 million in commercial loans, consisting of multifamily, retail, office and industrial properties, which were successfully sold as part of three Wall Street CMBS securitizations.

Prior to joining Boston Capital in 1994, Mr. Fazzano was a commercial real estate lender at Citizens Bank between 1989 and 1994. From 1982 through 1989, he served as a commercial loan officer for Fleet National Bank.

Mr. Fazzano holds a BS and an MBA from the University of Denver.

Sean Curry, Assistant Vice President, Boston Capital Finance LLC

Sean Curry

Mr. Curry is responsible for originating, analyzing, underwriting, presenting and closing multifamily first mortgage construction/permanent loans. Mr. Curry’s responsibilities also include working to increase Fund yields, oversight of asset management duties and financial analysis tasks.

Prior to joining Boston Capital in 2005, Mr. Curry served as a development manager for Symes Associates. In that capacity, Mr. Curry worked to acquire, permit, finance and construct single family, multifamily and commercial developments.

Mr. Curry holds a BA from Assumption College and is currently pursuing his MBA at Suffolk University’s School of Management. Mr. Curry also holds a Massachusetts Unrestricted Construction Supervisory License and a Real Estate Salespersons License.

Matt Dillis, Senior Engineer, Underwriter, Boston Capital Finance LLC

Matt Dillis

Mr. Dillis is responsible for technical underwriting of LIHTC properties, including all aspects of environmental, engineering and construction due diligence. With more than 20 years of engineering service to the commercial real estate industry, his diverse experience includes environmental assessment and remediation, property condition and capital needs evaluation and construction management.

Prior to joining Boston Capital in 2006, Mr. Dillis served as Vice President and Chief Engineer for Deutsche Bank Berkshire Mortgage, a Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and HUD multifamily lender. His responsibilities included technical underwriting of loan originations nationwide, engineering support for asset and portfolio management and technical training of underwriters and asset managers.

Mr. Dillis earned a BS in Civil Engineering from Merrimack College and is a Registered Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Jack Wallace, Financial Analyst, Boston Capital Finance LLC

Jack Wallace

Mr. Wallace is responsible for establishing draw funding schedules with developers, working with third party consultants on the review of monthly draw applications, reviewing borrower draw applications and submitting draw funding paperwork to the Fund Manager. His responsibilities also include working with third party credit facilities to call draw monies as needed, ensuring draws are funded to developers in a timely manner, drafting formal debt proposal letters to prospective borrowers and assisting in underwriting new deals.

Prior to joining Boston Capital Finance LLC, Mr. Wallace served as an asset manager for Boston Capital where he managed a portfolio of more than 100 LIHTC properties.

Mr. Wallace holds a BA from Salve Regina University.

Matt Kelly, Analyst, Boston Capital Finance LLC

Matt Kelly

Mr. Kelly is responsible for the tracking and analysis of existing multifamily first mortgage construction/permanent loans. In addition to assisting with the underwriting of prospective construction/permanent loans, his responsibilities include monitoring outstanding construction draws, capital calls and cash flows of the Boston Capital Affordable Housing Mortgage Fund, LLC. As a member of Boston Capital’s Structured Finance team, Mr. Kelly’s responsibilities include financial model design and maintenance of affordable housing tax advantaged financial transactions.

Prior to joining Boston Capital, Mr. Kelly served as a Senior Structured Finance Analyst for Lewtan Technologies where he was responsible for the analysis of Asset Backed Security Transactions including the Auto, Student Loan, CDO and RMBS asset classes.

Mr. Kelly holds a BS in Marketing from Fairfield University and is currently pursuing his MBA at the Carroll School of Management at Boston College.
